The tournament will follow established rules of a regular Yu-Gi-Oh! regional tournament, with one exception, the STARS’s betting and what the STARS can bring you…
The Star’s betting will proceed as follow:
1/ Each round will start by rolling a dice (or flipping a coin), the winner will decide how many STARS he is betting, the other players must bet the same number. Minimum 1 and maximum 3 per round. If you have no STARS left after 2 rounds, no worries! You can still duel for the remaining rounds of the tournament without it!
2/ Both players then re-roll to decide who goes first, and it’s time to duel!
3/ After each rounds, players will quickly report who won
But what does the STARS bring to you?
At the end of Swiss rounds or when you drop, you can exchange them for packs
(1-2-3-4-5 STARS= 1 pack, 6-7-8-9-10 STARS=2 packs,
11-12-13-14-15= 3 packs, 16-17-18-19-20=4 packs )
After the Swiss rounds end, all players will turn their STARS for packs or StarS points, a top cut will be determined and players will get the right to compete in direct elimination bracket for winning part the tournament’s pot!
Because the STAR CHARITY Tournament is a cash-out, a deck list will be submitted at registration and DECK checked also
Deck list official paper will be available on site or can be download here
Dueling or playing in any card games requires dedication, persistence and time...and there is only one winner at the end, only one "top 8" or "top 16" at every tournament...but you still have more than that, dozens of players who showed up, bubbled or just enjoyed the game and don't care about missing top 8...However, KONAMI has promoted the World Qualifying Points, granting dedicated players a chance to go to world through accumulation of numerous "tops" during the full season. Following that idea, here is a new update to the StarS charity Champion series, let me introduce "The StarS Race".
Here is how it will work going forward:
-Every players attending a StarS charity championship Chapter (or other events connected to it) will receive "StarS POINTS", based on their final ranking.
Example: 100 players attended, number 1 will receive 100 points, number 2, 99 points; number 3 ,98 points etc etc, and last player will receive 1 points, even if you drop!
You can also exchange your StarS for points, one for one!
-Nothing change for Top 8 of any StarS charity championship chapter, still receiving the BYES, extra stars and prizing, as established before, and will also collect StarS POINTS.
-StarS POINTS earned during the 3v3 format will be triple.
-StarS POINTS will be good until the Final Chapter of the season, finale excluded.
-StarS POINTS can be earned through the different chapters, but also side events, which might take place in the near future, like GOAT, LEGACy or any side events.
-The winner of the Race is NON cumulative, meaning if he(she) is already a winner of one tournament, the byes will go to the second, etc etc. Prizing will still be for the winner, but not the BYES.
-Starting E01S23, for each players attending, $1 will be added to the pot, and the race winner will win it all at the end of race!
-A playoff will be organized after the last episode of the season and before the finale ( details TBD), where a winner will receive the FULL POT MONEY along with 2 byes (non cumulative)
And your question is: what does the StarS POINTS bring? The winner of the StarS race will win 1 BYE for the Finale Chapter, along with a mat and a trophy and extra prices!
It's my way to thank the players who might bubble each time, who ended 10, 12 or 14 and did not make top 8 due to tie breakers 3 times in a row, but still show up every time! Consistency matters right? It's also a reminder to all, if you promote the StarS Charity Championship series and attendance goes up, it means more points for everybody too!
SIDE EVENT!
There might be an SIDE even during each episode of the Season 2024, $10 registration, depending on demand..with CASH out for top 4 or top 8 ( attendance depends). It will start around 2pm, after round 2 of the main event.
How to help this fundraising event and the school?
Please share the words, the more players, the better the fundraising!
If you do have cards, duplicate you don’t know what to do with, a drop-off box will be installed and the cards collected will be use in the future school Yu-Gi-Oh! club, helping the next generation of players to learn and love that game.
It’s a win-win, players will have an occasion to play the game they love, and the money collected will help the school to grow!

Yu-Gi-Oh! is a trade mark of Konami group, and all products/image belongs to the Konami group and this tourney is a non-official event organized following the great spirit of the creator of the game Kazuki Takahashi with the only purpose to fundraise money for a public school. We thanks again those who are helping this event to take place!
